Working in schools and Hearing Support Units allows Deafax to take our work to the very heart of education. We are able to provide specialist courses and interactive resources which are deaf-friendly and our training is primarily curriculum based and designed to augment learning. It is both culturally and linguistically appropriate and not only suitable for deaf learners but also for those who require a more highly visual means of learning.

We can offer workshops and courses covering:

  • PSHE: Personal, Social and Health Education, including Relationship & Sex Education (RSE)
  • Steps to Employment: CV Writing, Preparing for Work, Planning for Your Work etc.
  • Creative Arts: Visual music and arts, film and poetry

We are constantly developing workshops covering new areas and we can also offer workshops specifically aimed at parents of deaf children.
